An Online Fan Club For People Who Enjoy
Science Fiction, Horror, and Fantasy

The Hecate Battle Group, USS HECATE - Flagship, is a chapter of STARFLEET, The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. We primarily "play" in the Star Trek universe, but any are welcome to join. Our activities include online wargaming, role-play gaming, chatting, competitions, conventions, travel, and supporting the occasional charity (ie, Toys for Tots, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, &c). As a correspondence chapter in STARFLEET, our meetings are held entirely online in chats or instant messaging. Our members are scattered across the planet, and are urged to take part in local events to "show the flag".

We are a very laissez faire club. Every time three members show up in chat, that's a meeting. When an individual member attends an event, the whole chapter is attending - if only in name. We don't care how long you've been here, or how high your rank is... we
DO care what you are doing to have fun!

WHAT WE DO

Ships in the Hecate Battle Group
Unlike other STARFLEET chapters, which are fictionally based on single starships, space stations, or units, our chapter is made up of several "ships", each with their own interests and flavor. This allows groups of our members to focus energy and effort with others who share those interests, and identify as starships with their own missions.

USS HECATE NCC-76886 | USS RESCUE MCS-175 | USS WITCH OF ENDOR NCC-2313 | USS RAINIER NCC-98503 | USS AURORA NCC-93000

Attached Ships
"Attached Ships" are STARFLEET chapters in their own right, but that have also chosen to operate with the Hecate Battle Group directly. Leadership personnel may sit as observers in our Command Staff meetings, and any member of their ship may take part in our chapter events and interactions as full HBG members. Chapter and unit reporting routes remain separate, however. Please see our chapter Standard Operating Procedures for further details.

USS LOKI NCC-5156 | USS PHOEBE NCC-80115 | USS THERMOPYLAE NCC-74703

Units of the Battle Group
Units of the Starfleet Marines, Starfleet MACOs, and Starfleet Aerospace Arm as found on our chapter and its ships. The "Aerospace Arm" is a new group specific to our chapter, for members who like to role-play as fighter pilots but not as Marines.

New Chapters Sponsored by the Hecate Battle Group
The Hecate Battle Group has been proud to sponsor the USS LOKI NX-5156 and the USS PHOEBE NCC-80115 as Shakedown Chapters to STARFLEET, International! The LOKI is a correspondence chapter based out of Gettysburg, PA, USA and was launched on 02 NOV 2016, while the PHOEBE is a meeting chapter based in and around Everrett, WA, USA and was launched on 06 JAN 2017.

The USS PHOEBE NCC-80115 was commissioned as a full Chapter of STARFLEET on 06 JUL 2017.

On 22 OCT 2017, the USS LOKI NCC-5156 was commissioned as a full chapter by STARFLEET.

We wish both crews all the best!

JOIN US!

Join the Hecate Battle Group via STARFLEET's NEW MEMBER SIGN-UP
Choose "Hecate Battle Group - R7" in the appropriate drop-down box beside the chapter choice. Once the chapter leadership receives notice that you are a member, we will send you an introductory message to the email address you have provided STARFLEET.

HBG Facebook Group
This is our primary method for chapter communications, announcements, and interaction with friends who may or may not be members of the chapter. It requires a Facebook account and a membership request to the group. The only posting rule we have is "No Real World Politics are to be Posted or Discussed" - what you do on your own pages is, of course, up to you. We also operate a private group chat on Facebook (not connected to the group page) that is designated for active members of the chapter.

HBG Emailing List
Seldom used, but is available for role-play gaming; this requires an active email and a membership request.
